CRAFTED at the Port of Los Angeles

CRAFTED at the Port of Los Angeles is proud to host...

The Log Cabins of Donald Judd
50 new quilts by LUKE Haynes

February 18 - 28, 2016

We invite you to come see an ambitious display of new work by one of the stars in the modern quilt world, LUKE Haynes.  Inspired by the iterative material style of the late sculptor for which the series is named, LUKE has interpreted the traditional log cabin quilting method over a series of 50 quilts, all made of used textiles and using a range of red, white and black to articulate pattern and language.

The quilts will be hung from the ceiling in our massive "log cabin" warehouse like a forest to explore, creating an immersive, experiential show.

VIP opening February 18, 4 - 6 p.m.
$130 a ticket for the VIP includes yummies, drinks and a swag bag that makes the price well worth it - just ask LUKE.  Proceeds support the show/artist.

Open to the public after 6 p.m.

Join this event on Facebook.

For those of you also attending QuiltCon or just not wanting to drive, there will be free shuttles between the Pasadena Convention Center and CRAFTED:
VIP bus at 4:30 (ticket required), and 6 and 8 p.m.
Return shuttles at approximately 5:15, 7 and 9:45 p.m.

Show continues through February 28:
February 19-21, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
February 26-28, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This is a great place, it’s superb that the people from venues in Los Angeles recognize that the holiday party is the time to celebrate not only the year’s achievements, but the talent and teamwork that made those achievements possible.
