New Co-Reps

I am happy to announce that Loris Bogue and Jane LaFazio will be joining me as co-reps for our Southern California Region. I have worked with both of these artists on a variety of projects, and I am so pleased that they both accepted my invitation! Loris will represent the north, Jane, the South, and I will be Central. Please join me in welcoming them!

Loris Bogue began quilting in 1984 after a long background of sewing and garment making. After several years making traditional quilts, she changed her focus to art quilts, experimenting with new techniques and using alternative materials. Technology plays an important role in her quilt making: digital photography has led her to an interest in translating portraiture and events into representational quilt works. Her work has been exhibited across the country, and she had a piece in the Quilting Arts Calendar - December of 2005. She enjoys dyeing, discharging and screen printing fabric and creating her own surface designs. Currently, Loris is studying graphic arts at Pierce College to improve her design skills. She is also a website designer for artists, and is a member of SDA. Being part of a small art group that meets once a month is what keeps her motivated and continues to push her to a new level in her work. Loris lives in Simi Valley, teaches classes at a local quilt shop and welcomes commissions. To view Loris' website and her blog

Jane LaFazio has been a full-time artist since 1998 and has cultivated a wide range of skills as a painter, mixed media and quilt artist. Her artwork has been featured in galleries, juried mixed media exhibitions and publications including the books Mixed-Media Self-Portraits by Cate Coulacos Prato, Art Quilts at Play by Jane Dávila and Elin Waterston, Danny Gregory’s An Illustrated Life, and Material Visions. Jane’s artwork has been featured many times in Cloth, Paper, Scissors and Quilting Arts and she appeared in two episodes of Quilting Arts TV, season 3. See more of Jane’s artwork at or follow her creative life at She resides in San Diego, California and teaches art quilts, mixed media and watercolor to adults and kids.
