Kathleen McCabe of San Diego has a piece "In His Shadow" accepted into Quilt National 2009, AND another piece "Bigger Than Life" accepted into SAQA: Points of View.

Linda Miller's work was featured in the Portrait of a Sewing Artists Series; Sewing Arts Center http://www.sewingartscenter.com/ In 2005 Linda developed the idea for the Bhavana Project, an ongoing group work based on Tibetan prayer flags and influenced by her eastern studies. Sandra Lauterbach from Los Angeles has two pieces ( 4th of July--which was in the IQF in houston last year --and Celebration!) included in Katie Pasquini Masopust's new book: Design Explorations for the Creative Quilter: Easy-to-Follow Lessons for Dynamic Art Quilts
that is being released later this month. It is a neat book with lots of ideas. The book is especially interesting because it includes photos of the initial inspiration--be it a photo or, as in my case, painting--and then the resulting quilt.
